Engy Omara

Engy Omara, born in Alexandria 1993, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sculpture Department, Faculty of Fine Arts, Alexandria University 2017, she was registered as a master’s researcher at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Alexandria University.

Engy is passionate about primitive art in general, considering it one of the most significant cultural heritages. This belief is particularly evident in her fascination with Ancient Egyptian history, which she strives to reinterpret in her unique way.
She participated in many exhibitions, including Tashweesh Festival 2019 – Goethe Institute, Aswan International Sculpture Symposium 2021, 6 – Bab Sharq Alexandria 2021

-Her experience and dedication owe much to her mentor, Dr. Ahmed Abdel Wahab.
-A scholarship from the Alexandria Mass Program (a contemporary art study program) 2019.
-Her residency as an independent artist at Alexandria Atelier 2020-2022
-A grant for the residency program at the Fayoum Arts Center, which is funded and organized by the Sawiris Foundation for Social Development in cooperation with the Fayoum Arts Center ,2022.
Engy completed most of the exhibition’s work .During her artistic residency at the Fayoum Arts Center (Sawiris Foundation Grant) in Tunis village, as She found a suitable environment in Fayoum and was greatly influenced by the pottery forms and various ceramic techniques found there. Fayoum boasts three main areas crucial to pottery and ceramics.
