Khaled Sirag


Born 1969, Cairo, Egypt

Khaled Sirag is a prominent Egyptian ceramic artist whose practice combines contemporary sculptural ceramics with academic research and international cultural exchange. Born in Cairo in 1969, he graduated from the Ceramics Department, Faculty of Applied Arts, Helwan University in 1992, where he has been working as a lecturer since 2006.

Sirag has held several notable solo exhibitions, including two solo shows at Gezira Art Center, Cairo (2005 and 2013), followed by Ma’at: Changing Colors (2015), Together (2018, duet with Hungarian artist Anita Toth), and Singularity (2021) at Ubuntu Art Gallery, Cairo. His practice has been shaped by sustained international collaborations, particularly in Europe, including a duet exhibition with Istvan Zakar in Budapest (2014) and participation with duet works in the solo exhibition of Hungarian artist Anita Toth at Keramiapark, Budapest (2014).

Throughout his career, Khaled Sirag has participated in more than 80 local and international exhibitions and over 35 workshops and symposiums across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. His works are held in public collections in more than 21 countries worldwide.
